Beat Zimmermann holds a CPL and has been active in aviation since 1984. He trained with the Swiss Air Force and Swissair's joint pilot recruitment and training program (FVS), and later became an Air Traffic Controller at Geneva ACC. In 1993 he completed his PANS-OPS studies at Bailbrook College, and was promoted head of the procedure design team in swisscontrol's Operations Department.
In 1996 Beat has founded his own company and has specialised in training and consultancy for procedure design. He is expert in designing procedures in very complex terrain.
Beat Zimmermann is an advisor of the ABIS member in the ICAO Instrument Flight Procedures Panel (IFPP, formerly OCP). Furthermore, Beat is a guest lecturer at the ZHAW (Zürcher Hochschule für Angewande Wissenschaften/ Zürich University of Applied Sciences)in their Bachelor Program in Aviation and to come full circle academically, he is still enrolled at the Faculty of Education at Oklahoma State University to continue his Studies in Education Psychology (as independent studies) and eventually to work towards the Doctorate's Degree.

Prof. Dr. Todd Hubbard - E-Learning/Distance Learning - Educational Advisor/Supervisor

Professor Todd Hubbard Ed D, Lt. Col. USAF (retired) is an associate professor and principal investigator for aviation-oriented research projects in educational psychology, cognitive psychology, ergonomics, and sociology at Oklahoma State University, where he holds the Clarence E. Page Endowed Chair. During his more than 3300 hours of military flight time, he has had ratings in the KC-135, T-37, T-38, U-2R, and TR-1A aircraft and has logged time in the F-16 and RF-4. A near death experience in which he was forced to eject from a U-2 aircraft, moments after takeoff, profoundly changed him. The resultant journey through episodes of posttraumatic stress, fear of flying, bundled with bipolar disorder, stirred within him an interest in the psychology of aviation and the treatment of military pilots who silently suffer. He is listed among the Jaycee’s Outstanding Young Men in America and is a member of the Association for Aviation Psychology, the University Aviation Association, Order of Daedalians, Phi Kappa Phi honors fraternity, and the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association.

Dr. Maurizio Scaramuzza - Geodetics and Mapping

Maurizio F. Scaramuzza received the Diploma in Geomatics in 1995 at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) Zürich. He joined in 1995 the Institute of Geodesy and Photogrammetry at the ETH Zurich, where he received in 1998 the doctorate in technical sciences in the field of satellite based flight approaches and landings.
In 1999 he joined skyguide (formerly swisscontrol) and successively built up and led the GNSS team. Since 2006 he is head of the expert group on communication, navigation and surveillance (CNS).
At the ETH Zürich he is guest teacher within the subject of Navigation. He is lecturer at the Zurich University of Applied Science for the aviation study covering the subjects on Positioning & Guidance and Navigation.
Maurizio Scaramuzza is cofounder and board member of the Swiss Institute of Navigation, member of the Swiss Geodetic Commission, the Swiss Association of Aeronautical Sciences and Swiss Astronautics Association.

Prof. Dr. Alain Geiger - Geodetics and Mapping

Nationality: Swiss
Alain P. Geiger, Diploma in Physics in 1979, ETH Zurich. In 1980 he joined the Institute of Geodesy and Photogrammetry at ETH Zürich where he earned the ETH medalfor his PhD thesis in gravity field determination in 1991. Presently he is head of the Satellite Geodesy Group and Professor in Satellite Geodesy and Precise Navigation at the Geodesy and Geodynamics Lab (GGL) of the ETH. He works on precise Kinematics GPS, airborne Laser technique and GPS based landing approaches, geodynamic interpretation of GPS measurements, and 4-dimensional modelling of atmospheric refractivity. He is a fellow of the International Association of Geodesy and president of the Swiss Geodetic Commission of the Swiss Academy of Sciences. In 1999 he co-founded the Swiss Institute of Navigation, where he still acts as president.

Jim Terpstra - ARINC 424 Database Coding

Nationality: US
James E. Terpstra is a retired Senior Corporate Vice President in Flight Information Technology at Jeppesen. His ratings include ATPL and multi-engine airplane and instrument flight instructor. His over 6000 flight hours include 3200 instructing hours. Furthermore Jim was instrumental in starting the ARINC 424 commitee back in 1973, where he still participates. He is an advisor to the US member in the ICAO IFPP as well. Jim is also a member of the International Advisory Commitee of the Flight Safety Foundation.

Aleksandar Pavlovic - AIS/MAP Charting

Nationality: Serbian
Aleksandar Pavlovic is very well known in the AIS community around the world. He looks back at a very long career within ICAO in various management positions. For 18 yeas he was responsible for the maintenance and updating of Annexes 4 and 15, PANS-ABC and all ANPPs. Aleks is also a certified ICAO safety oversight auditor and has been acting as the Secretary of various AIS/MAP meetings within ICAO. His backround is very solid, Aleks graduated with a Bachelor of Science as an Air Transportation Engineer from Belgrade University before becoming an Air Traffin Controller and getting a Pilot License. Apart from Aleksandar's excellent communication skills he has extensive experience in representing ICAO at RTCA/Eurocae and ISO Technical commitee meetings. Furthermore Aleks Pavlovic has excellent knowledge of the Eurocontrol Safety Regulatory Requirements (ESARRs) as well as the ECAA/SESAR. Aleksandar also acts as a lecturer for the AIS/MAP subjects at the Singapore Aviation Academy.
